Project 1: Scrappy Sweatshirt

Bring new life to an old sweatshirt or add a personalized touch to a plain one by using your vinyl scraps to create a unique design. Here's a quick guide to get you started:

Sweatshirt made from vinyl scraps

Materials Needed:

Heat Transfer Vinyl scraps in various colors

Plain sweatshirt

Iron or heat press

Scissors or cutting machine

Parchment paper or  Heat Transfer Cover Sheet

Steps:

1. Choose a design or pattern for your sweatshirt. We took a random shape and did a random layout in our design space. Then we chose a font and typed out one of our favorite quotes.

2. Cut the vinyl scraps into shapes or elements that fit your chosen design. We laid out scraps on our cut mat so we had a variety of colors and to make the shapes have multiple colors. Don't forget to mirror if you have any words!

3. Arrange the vinyl scraps on the sweatshirt in your desired layout.

4. Use an iron or heat press to adhere the vinyl to the sweatshirt. Place parchment paper or that Heat Transfer Cover Sheet  between the iron and vinyl to protect the material.

5. Let it cool, and voilà – you've got a scrappy sweatshirt that's uniquely yours!

Project 2: Calm Down Bottle
