4th Of July Ruffle Sleeved Onesie
Hey guys! It is McKenzie from Girl Loves Glam here! The 4th of July is probably my favorite holiday. I love spending the day outside with my family. I love the parade, the festivities throughout the day, and the fireworks! It seriously might even pass up Christmas on my list! I love dressing up in red, white, and blue to celebrate the holiday too. It can't just stop with me dressing that way though. My little girl needs to be dolled up too! That is why I made a 4th of July onesie for her to wear on the big day.
The best part? It was SO dang easy to make! I wanted it to be something that she could also wear on other days too. I tried not to make it overly centered on the holiday so I would feel comfortable putting her in it any other day, so I chose simple stars to put on it. To make your own, you need...
*Iron on Glitter Vinyl (I have two colors pictured, but I only used the blue)
*Onesie
*Rosette ribbon
*Iron
*Vinyl cutter
*Sewing Machine
First, pin the ribbon onto the edges of the sleeves. Be sure to stretch the sleeves as you pin the ribbon on.
Sew a straight line through the ribbon to sew it onto the sleeve. Do this to both sleeves.
Create a design on your vinyl cutter's software. I chose 3 simple stars. Cut the vinyl out and iron it on the onesie where you want it to go. When you are ironing, be sure to push down with a good amount of pressure for about 30 seconds on each spot of the vinyl. Move the iron around while you iron so that you don't burn the onesie.
Now you are all ready for the holiday! Enjoy!
