Keep "Writing On" Comp Book

Keep "Writing On" Comp Book

It's Stephanie from, A Geek In Glasses. This month the true Geek is coming out of me. I love composition notebooks, the hard covers, the permanent pages. Stacks of them are everywhere as school get back in session. This year send your teens off to school with an awesome upgrade to the traditional comp book.

Each year these crisp notebooks get through the first couple of weeks of school pristine, then the first doodle appears in the top corner, then a little more, a quick note to remember a due date, the front covers take a beating and are cover in classroom graffiti before you know it.

This project is so simple but can give the student in your life a chance to "wipe the slate clean" whenever things get too cluttered.

The supplies are few:

Composition Notebook
Chalk Board Vinyl
Glitter Vinyl
Scissors

Chalk or Wet Erase Chalk Pen

To start this project measure the front cover of the composition book and cut a piece of chalk board vinyl to fit.

Then cut a 2.25" strip of glitter vinyl and use it as a spine cover.

This covers the end of the vinyl on the round spine edge of the book, plus makes an easy to spot spine to grab off the bookshelf.

These would make a great homemade gift for students of all ages, pair it with a Wet Erase Chalk Pen for a great back to school pick up me!!!
