Personalized Beach Set

Personalized Beach Set

Hello! I’ll be making mine with my silhouette cameo, for my brother and soon to be sister in law’s upcoming wedding party!

Supplies you will need:

Beach towel (s)
Bathing suit cover up (s)
Beach blanket
Glitter Heat Transfer vinyl
A towel
An iron
Bonus – I made a koozie and beach bag

To start, choose your design for your first item. I’m going to start with the first beach towel. Since my sister in law hasn't decided how she is going to change her name after the wedding I’m just going to use an A for her new last name.

Make sure you flip your design horizontally, right click the design and select flip horizontally

Once I had my design ready, I duplicated it and made a smaller one on the same page to put on the bathing suit cover up.

Next I set up my cameo settings to the suggested machine settings listed on Expression Vinyl’s website, which is speed 5, thickness 10, and blade setting 5. I like to use double cut to play it safe.

Next place your vinyl on your cutting mat, shiny side down.

And you’re ready to cut. Do a test cut before you cut your whole design out. Once your design is cut out, pull away the extra vinyl some people use a hook I work best with tweezers. But use what you are comfortable with. (Don’t mind my desk that needs to be repainted)

Now you are ready to place the design on your towel to iron. Set your iron on the cotton/blends setting with no steam. I held the iron over the design about 10-15 seconds checking a corner after about 10 seconds to see if it was ready or needed longer. Depending on your fabric, heating time will vary.

Sorry it was a really hard picture to get when no one else was home but I love how the wrap turned out.

I was going to do my brothers the same way but I figured it was a little too frilly for him. So I chose a different font and repeated my steps. I made him a beach blanket and koozie instead of bathing suit wrap.

Then my favorite part the beach bag which was a bonus as I wasn't sure how well it was going to work out but I love how they turned out! What a great personalized beach gift set! Can’t wait to give it to them! Hope you found my tutorial helpful! Thanks for reading!
