Shadow box

Shadow box

it was cute...they are my daughter's shadow boxes...

and we are currently trying to find a happy medium between little girl and teen.

so I popped those little flowers off and painted the inside white

(and dusted..they were totally almost gray)

then I got my ExpresssionsVinyl 631 Gray Vinyl and using the grids on the back cut it to fit my cricut mat.

I hopped on my scal (about the greatest invention ever) and made some designs

I trimmed them down to 6x6.

(these are just squares that I made into this design)

I cut them out of my vinyl....and peeled off the part i didn't want...

then I took some Transfer Tape (which makes putting on vinyl a BREEZE! it's worth it's weight in gold. (which isn't very much..cause it's paper and it's super cheap but still a MUST)

rub it on the vinyl and peel it up (helps if you go at an angle)

then you press it down and rub it on and then peel it off (again....easier if you pull diagonally)

then I decided to add some words...

turned to my scal again (the font is brock script)

and rubbed that bad boy on....

so fun! they will go on my daughter's gray wall (which I haven't painted yet)

and they are so fun cause you can leave them blank or feel them with "treasures"

okay. can't quite let go of my baby!

and as you go along you can totally swap stuff out...an easy way to change the look without a major redo!

now. if you are a regular reader of mine..you know I'm a hoarder...

i totally saved the opposite part of the vinyl to be used for another day!

just put it on some transfer tape and put the backing part back on

(I made the zigzag from the large shadow box's triangles)
