Silver Tattoo Paper on Candles

Silver Tattoo Paper on Candles

Have you Tried Silhouettes Tattoo Paper? ExpressionsVinyl.com has a few options in Tattoo Paper: ClearWhiteGold and of couse Silver; Which is what we are going to show today.

I think the coolest thing about the Silver (and Gold) Tattoo Paper is how you work with it, you dont have to apply any adhesive sheets, just cut directly on the silver sheets.

The sheets already have a "Carrier" Sheet on them that you actually cut then weed that portion out.

Instructions are more clear in the packaging, but lets see if I can help with some visuals.

Feed the Silver Tattoo Paper in with the Silver side up. I would recommend using a mat with this material.

DONT FORGET TO MIRROR!!!

Since this is a Silhouette Product, they will already have the settings pre-programed in for easy set up, Under the Temporary Tattoo Paper, Metallic Setting:

Blade: 2

Speed: 3>> depends on detail of design

Thickness(Force): 25

These are their pre-settings and I have found that they are perfect, so no guessing game.

Check out those nice crisp cut lines, then once it has all finished cutting, unload and starting weeding.

Think of it like it was for stenciling, you are weeding out the clear sheet on the image so your tattoo can transfer. So weed  the image.

See how some of the damasks look a little frosty? The clear cover has been removed and the glue is exposed so that is how they transfer to your skin or in this case some candles.

I was a little nervous to try this but I LOVE LOVE LOVE how they turn out.

So, once you have them all weeded out, just trim up your boxes (these are weeding boxes which even out to our candles height and circumference. So they should very closely line up.

(Make sure and take any plastic covering off the candles)

Then simply flip the tatoo Paper Silver side down on the candle and line it up in the middle best you can then with a wet cloth or in this case I used wet wipes because they were sitting in arms reach, just squeeze them out a little bit then start dabbing and working your way around until the paper sticks to the candle.

Once the paper is formed to the candle slowly lift the paper up being careful since the tattoo paper can be a little fragile, and there may be some pieces that were missed while weeding but since they still have the plastic cover they can easily be removed.

Then once its all off, take a paper towel and do some "blotching" to smooth it all up and get off any excess moisture.

Then just repeat that process till all your candles are decorated in this fun Silver Tattoo Paper

This was so much fun and you can do pretty detailed on these, let your imagination run wild.
