Flower Planter With Chalkboard Vinyl

Flower Planter With Chalkboard Vinyl

Hi everyone! My name is Katie from Made to be a Momma and I am so excited to be sharing a fun project with you today! I met the Expression Vinyl girls over a month ago at the Snap! conference and couldn’t wait for the chance to work them! Today I am going to be showing you how to make a fun and simple chalkboard flower planter with Chalkboard Vinyl.

You will need a terra cotta pot or planter of your choice (I recommend making sure the planter has a smooth surface so the vinyl will lay smoothly) flowers, chalkboard vinyl, chalkboard marker or chalk.

I decided to paint my pot a soft cream color but feel free to leave it as is J Using the silhouette cameo, I cut out a frame shape the size to fit my planter. I used the free dingbat font of KG Flavor & Frames Font . The size of your “frame” may vary depending on how small or big your planter is.

Peel off your vinyl label and place on terracotta pot. You may need to clean your planter surface with alcohol first so the label is sure to stick. I then used the chalkboard marker to write the word “Hello!” on my planter.

I love that this planter is made with chalkboard vinyl. It will be so fun to change it for each season that comes and go.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! It will make a great addition to your outside décor!
