so...it's a new year...and i'm getting organized! okay..kinda organized. and only kinda.

and part of my organizing strategy is to have the stuff i need to take on the go ready to go...

like my dog stuff...all the stuff she needs for the park. leash, ball, Frisbee, poop bags etc...

and a bag for my church stuff...

and a bag for my crocheting..(i only crochet in the car or at my husband's basketball games)

enter old bags that have logos...

i know you have at least one....and it's time to make them cute!!!!

--all you need is a littlet-shirt vinyl

(or bag vinyl!) (also known as heat transfer!)

I designed the image to make sure it covers the old image....but other than that the world is your oyster...

the chockababy one got strips of orange...and a dog image....

remember..when using t-shirt vinyl that you are cutting the back...so the image has to be flipped before cutting. (you then peel away the negative space, flip it over and lay it on your bag (It has the transfer tape already attached to it) then you iron (i always start on low and and move it up until it stuck on nice and good!)

the lighting is making it so you can see the baby in the above photo...but in real life it's hardly noticeable....

The vinyl i'm using is all Easyweed---it's smooth. But ExpressionsVinyl.com also have Stripflock (which is fuzzy) and there is also GLITTER!!!

the simplot bag is a big fat image right in the middle...harder to design around...so i just cut one big frame...(this is a pretty coral color)

and ironed it right on over it....

then you can add another layer of t-shirt vinyl on top of this one....

I ended up adding some fabric...

just sewed right on top of the vinyl!

(this would also work on t-shirts with obnoxious logos!)

and if you don't have bags to recover, ExpressionsVinyl.com has some fun Tote Bags, in a Natural or a Black handled option.

or maybe you can sew....just add some vinyl as a label so your kids can get organized too!
