Specialty Heat Transfer Vinyl Projects

Projects Using Specialty Heat Transfer Vinyl

Siser EasyWeed heat transfer vinyl will always be a classic go-to, but there is so much fun and creativity in using specialty materials. At Expressions Vinyl, we carry a variety of specialty heat transfer vinyl, anywhere from metallic to glow-in-the-dark! Scroll through our blog to see a round-up of some of our favorite specialty HTV projects we've created!

EasyWeed Stretch HTV Swimsuit

Did you know you could put HTV on a swimsuit? Now you do!

We used EasyWeed stretch to add a design to this adorable sprinkle swimsuit, but we've also added a pineapple design to a tropical-themed swimsuit, too! (Click the link below to see that swimsuit's tutorial!)

The application of this design was so easy to do. Plus, EasyWeed Stretch moves with you and your fabric, making it the perfect addition to a day at the beach or the pool.

Sublimation Marker Colored Pouch

We know this one isn't technically vinyl, but it is heat transfer! We now carry Siser's new product: sublimation markers!

To use sublimation markers, all you do is take a standard piece of copy paper and draw a design using the markers. Be sure to draw backwards, because this presses ink-side down. Once you're satisfied with your coloring, press for the appropriate amount of time on your fabric and this design is good to go!

Sublimation markers are a great way to display your childrens' artwork on canvasses, clothing, and more. What will you make with them?

Note: sublimation works best on polyester products. Higher heat, time, and pressure are recommended. Please follow all directions for best results.

Glow-in-the-Dark Sleeping Bag

Camping is an essential part of summer! We love going camping with our families, and this craft is the perfect way to make your next camping trip even more special!

For this project, we took a basic sleeping bag and added our own fun design to it. We started with a base layer of yellow EasyWeed, then added in a fun surprise: glow-in-the-dark HTV! Once that was pressed, we added our glitter HTV for the final touch.

Reflective HTV Tote Bag

If you wanted to try every kind of EasyWeed we sell in one go, this project is for you! We're really shooting for the stars with this one!

For this tote bag, we started with our base layer of EasyWeed Reflective for the text and the biggest outline for our blast-off. Then, we added our various colors of EasyWeed for the stripes and layered our rocket on top. Then we added the finishing touches of yellow stars and our reflective rocket clouds. Now this tote is ready for your next adventure!

This tote bag could be great for carrying books to and from the library, used as a snack carrier or lunch box, or even just a fun everyday tote bag. The possibilities are endless when you shoot for the stars!

Glow-in-the-Dark T-shirt

Did you know we make glow-in-the-dark heat transfer vinyl? It is so fun and easy to work with! It is a Siser EasyWeed specialty material, which means it weeds just like the standard EasyWeed that you're used to.

This shirt is also an easy introduction into layering! If you click the link below, you'll see in our tutorial that we started with Stripflock and our EasyWeed base for our jar. From there, we layered the rest of our EasyWeed in short presses (to reduce shrinkage) until everything was layered. Then we did our final press and this shirt is ready to wear!

Blackboard HTV Shirt

Blackboard HTV is another fun material you may not have known about! This material is able to be drawn on with chalk, making the design possibilities endless! Plus, how fun is it to be able to draw on your clothes?

For this design, we just found a simple speech bubble design and added our own font. Then, we let our chalk do the talking!

Metal HTV Kitchen Supplies

Metal HTV is a fun way to add some shine and pizzazz to your project without being too shiny or an uncomfortable texture. We used a variety of our metal colors to make these fun kitchen accessories.

For these projects, we only used metal heat transfer vinyl, and we think they turned out great! Now we're ready to "chop it like it's hot!"

Metal HTV Chips And Salsa Sweatshirt

Whether you're a football fan or not, I think we all agree that chips and dip are the best team! No matter which team you root for during sports matches, this sweatshirt is sure to be a hit and get some laughs.

For this project, we started with our bronze metal HTV, then added our black EasyWeed for our salsa bowl, "filled" it with red EasyWeed for salsa, and decorated it with our triangle patterned vinyl. Finally, we added our cream EasyWeed chips for dipping, and this shirt is all set for the next Super Bowl!

This shirt is great for all kinds of parties and gatherings, but especially sports parties!

Football Mom Shirt

Do you want to stand out from the rest of the fans in the crowd? Try using Deco Foil! This method uses EasyWeed Adhesive and special foil paper to create shiny designs. Plus, Deco Foil comes in a variety of colors and patterns, perfect for any project!

For this project, we started with a base of classic EasyWeed, then added our additional colors and some Stripflock. Finally, we added our EasyWeed Adhesive. This vinyl is a clear HTV which acts similarly to hot glue (with less mess). The deco foil only sticks to the EasyWeed Adhesive, so you don't have to worry about stray shiny pieces. After adding our deco foil and doing a final press, this shirt is ready to hit the stadium lights and support your favorite player!

Holographic Hoodie

Holographic vinyl is so fun to work with, and adds such a fun pop of shine without having a gritty texture like glitter heat transfer vinyl. We thought holographic was the perfect choice for this blinged-out sweatshirt!

For this project, we used our gold holographic heat transfer vinyl to create the gold band and our crystal holographic heat transfer vinyl to add our big ol' diamond and text below.

This would make a great gift for a bride-to-be, wedding party, or even an anniversary gift down the road.

Brick HTV Cap

Have you ever wished for a thicker heat transfer vinyl than your standard EasyWeed? Well, look no further than Siser Brick 600! This vinyl is great for designs that you want to pop out or stand out from the rest of your vinyl.

For this project, we used Brick HTV to make some fun Idaho trucker hats (we have to represent where we're from!). What would you make with this vinyl?

  • Lemon Milk

Cut Files:

  • Silhouette Store
    • USA Map (#26338)
