O Come Let Us Adore Him Christmas Craft

About a month or so ago, my mom and I decided that it was time to get started on some simple Christmas gifts for friends and neighbors. I had recently created a sign for a church activity that I loved and I knew we could change it up a bit to create a smaller more manageable version that would be perfect for gift giving!

So after a little tweaking, shrinking, cutting sanding and painting...we came up with the perfect base to apply silver vinyl that says "O Come Let Us Adore Him."

We used a nice 1" x 2" piece of wood and cut it down to about 12" in length using a compound miter saw. Then we sanded it well and painted it with a navy blue craft paint.

After it dried it was ready for a little distressing around the edges with my electric sander.

Then I designed, cut and weeded the vinyl. We used a beautiful Silver vinyl for this project but White Vinyl would look nice as well! The "O Come Let Us" and "Him" weeded very easily. Because "adore" is a thin swirly font, it took a bit more time and patience.

As a hint, when you are cutting vinyl that has thin swirly lines, lower your cut speed way down if possible. It will cut cleaner and you will have fewer issues with it.

After it is weeded, you are ready to apply the transfer tape and adhere it onto your painted surface.

Because my mom and I created so many of these, they did take a little time and patience to do. But if you are only doing one of these for yourself, it will actually go together quite quickly!

And didn't it just turn out lovely!?

I downloaded the manger scene shape from the Silhouette Online Shop and I used Adobe Hebrew and Scriptina for my fonts. You can customize this however you like though to fit your board, style and preference! I also used a navy blue paint and silver vinyl, but again feel free to customize this as well!

What are you giving to friends and neighbors this year for the holidays?
